Today was the last day of pre-school for Buffy. Pete and I went together to pick her up and say good-by to one of the best pre-school teachers in the world, Pat Schultz. Today ended our twelve year run at the MSU Child Development Labratory and what was also Spartan Co-operative Nursery School. We had one semester off when John went to 1st grade and Nolan wasn't home from Russia yet...at times we've had 4 kids in pre-school classes there.
And here's the thing---I forgot to take a camera, I even left my phone at home. So I have no pictures of the last day---but take my word for it, it was great fun and Buffy was precious saying good-by to all of the good friends she has made there.

RACE FOR THE CURE: "Little Feet, Big Feat"
Today was our annual Race for the Cure, breast cancer run/walk. Our team, Little Feet, Big Feat, had at least 50 members and raised close to $2,000. We had a brunch at home this morning to decorate strollers and kids and went downtown about an hour before the race. We all had a fabulous time. Some runners, some walkers...the kids all did great! It was a terriffic crowd and a great day!
Thank you to all of you who contributed your time and energy and especially your money----that's how a cure will be found!
A huge Thank-You to Meghan Ritchey for being our Team Captain and keeping us on task and organized----all with a smile on her face and with so much kindness! We love you Meghan---you're 'it' for next year, too!

More Birthday celebrations for Lilly: 2009
Lilly and 20 of her closest friends and family went bowling at the MSU Union and had several games, more pizza and more cake! By the time we finished celebrating her birthday, I thought she must be about 14!
Lilly's 9th Birthday Festival
I'm finally posting the pictures of Lilly's birthday ---April 3rd. We all went to Ford Field for the Spartan Basketball open practice before the tournament and then to Chuckie's for lunch and then to Somerset for a pep rally with a few other Spartan fans. It was a fun day and just the beginning of Lilly's many celebrations!
Update of older Spring Pictures
We got a new dishwasher(finally)---the box was such a BIG hit the Pete went to the recycle center and took out cardboard boxes and brought them home. Alex was with him and was so delighted to tell me that there wasn't even a charge for the boxes---they were FREE!!! They played in them for days---better than the tree house we used to have or the teepee in the backyard. It looked a little trashy---but I think I can honestly say I was the only person in this household who noticed. What fun!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LILLY!
I have new pictues to post when I get a minute of Lilly's birthday celebration yesterday. We started out in the morning and went to Ford Field for 'open practice', then off to Chuckie Cheese for lunch and cake and playing, then off to Somerset for the Spartan Pep Rally. A big birthday! When we got home there were flowers here for Lilly from Jo-Ellen. Lilly was thrilled and took them right up to her room.
Today we are still in birthday mood and also really excited about the game tonight. Everybody has new Final 4 T-shirts and the whole town is filled with excited and happy people!
