FLASHBACK

Alex and Ben at two weeks old!!! Together again when Alex finally came home from the hospital.

They weighed 4# and 5# and slept together in a very narrow cradle......

Alex and Ben's 6th Birthday

On this day ten years ago Nolan, Pete and I were in Surgut, Russia for the finalization of Nolan's adoption. We were able to pick him up right after the court hearing and take him to our hotel and make the rest of the trip with him.
It has been such wonderful fun being Nolan's mom---there isn't a day that he doesn't make me laugh! He is a great kid, a terriffic brother to his siblings and a wonderful friend to his pets and his human friends.
In 1998, Thanksgiving became my favorite holiday! The three of us arrived home just in time to be with John and become a family of four. While, our foursome didn't last but a few months, it is a time I still treasure!
We love you Nolan! Thanks for getting home to us!

Nolan's 10th Adoption Anniversary!

Buffy's most favorite day this week---this month!!! Her name was pulled to bring Lighting home until school tomorrow. The adventures are too many to mention. These are the pictures of their macaroni and cheese lunch before going back to school. Lighting had a wonderful time and Buffy can't wait until he/she returns!

We 'Halloweened' for days! It is, as you know, one of our favorite holidays! We made halloween crafts Wednesday, went to the East Lansing Pumpkin Walk Thursday night, went to school parties and the parade on Friday afternoon. Friday night we went to our annual neighborhood pizza party and then all over town for trick-or-treating. There's a real sugar buzz all around today.
