We have spent the last three and a half weeks since school ended in East Lansing. We haven't had a week when all of us were home at the same time. Aidan has been to camp. Pete and the 'boys' went to the cabin on their annual fishing trip. Pete has been to the annual conference he attends in New York. I've been to Chicago for 36 hours.....we've had T-ball, slip and slide, swimming in the pool in the back yard, biking around the neighborhood, swimming at the Aquatic Center and lots of sleep overs with friends.....but, we just can't figure out what else to do ..... so, NOW WE GET TO GO TO THE COTTAGE AND SWIM AND FISH AND READ AND PLAY!!! Pete and Pasha will be in East Lansing most of the week for work and football...the rest of us will be at the lake as much as possible.
There will probably be less posting...but lots and lots of fun and I'll take pictures to post later.
We hope everyone is having a great summer! Please come and visit if you have the chance!

Lake Lansing Park
I understand Talon and Gage hosted a fabulous birthday party at Lake Lansing over the week-end. I was in Chicago, celebrating my friend Lynn's big 5-0 Birthday! Pete and the kids had a great time as you can see in the photos! Happy Birthday, Sweet Boys...and on to a great year of being 3 and 1! We love you.
School's Out!
Everyone was thrilled to have school end and summer begin! Buffy can't wait to have school start in September so she can go with 'the kids'. I am delighted to have everyone home and be off to the lake for lots of swimming, fishing and summer reading!
Maybe I'll be ready to have school start and everyone gone all day in September---but I never have been so I'm not planning on it---just enjoying every day of sunshine and playing!
I hope you are all having a wonderful summer!

JUNE 1ST DANCE RECITAL
Lilly, Jane, Alex, Ben and Buffy all had their dance recital the same week school ended for the year. I don't know whose idea that was---but it was really difficult to get in all of the school end of the year activities, a dress rehersal (those are when the dancing pictures were taken) and a recital!
The kids had a ball. Alex and Ben were being treated for strep throat but were troopers when it came to getting on stage.
It was a little tricky getting all five of them dressed and made-up with hair, etc., but it was fun.
They all did a beautiful job and all of us who went, enjoyed it, too!
This was Lilly and Jane's fourth year of dance. Alex and Ben's second and Buffy's first year.

More Spring Soccer!
I just found these pictures I took of Alex and Ben in their Spring Soccer clinics. They had a ball every Tuesday night for about six weeks. They learned more about kicking and goal tending and how great the orange slices taste after the game! What fun they had playing and we had watching!
